The Rock Chick

Hello, I'm Caroline Barnes and I'm Max Factor's make-up artist and I'm going to show you how to do the `Rock Chick' look with Glide & Define.

OK so the Rock Chick look has come straight from the catwalks, you're going to see a lot of models sporting this look - it's a really, really modern look. Now the Rock Chick starts with a flick. As you can see we've used the liner Glide & Define all the way over the top and flicked up the eye liner towards the edge - look at `The Flick' vodcast to see how we did that. But with the Rock Chick look what we want to do is make it look really sexy and smouldery underneath the eye - and for that I'm going to trace the Glide & Define underneath the eyelashes and then smudge it with a cotton bud. Make sure that you don't wait too long before it dries. Apply it then quickly smudge to get that really soft, sultry look.

OK, so take the liner right from the outer corner of the flick and trace your line, in quite a haphazard way all along the bed of your lash line. Remember you're wanting to go for that kind of rock chick, slept-in, been-out-all-night kind of eye make-up look - which is really hot. Get your liner, get your cotton bud and smudge away. And the great thing about this is it's not like a soft kohl pencil where it will smudge and then drip down your eye for the rest of the night, once it's smudged in it will stay smudged all night. So once again just make sure you're highlighting the outer corner, really getting that liner into the bed of the lashes and smudging all the way along to the inner corner. Great!

Next I'm going to use the Max Factor Masterpiece Max Mascara on your lashes - top and bottom - to get a real big, full eyelash to make sure that we don't close your eyes by using the liner - and make sure that we have a great finish to your eyelashes. Taking the lashes underneath, paint with the tip of the wand and lay the lashes down, and then do the top ones and lift the lashes up for a great shape. Head towards me - great.
