Hi, I'm Caroline Barnes, Max Factor's make-up artist and I'm now going to show you how to do `The Cat'.
OK so with `The Cat' it's such a really, really clever way to do your eye liner. We do the top line just like the flick and then we trace a little bit of line just underneath, and it's perfect for an almond eye because it really makes your eyes quite feline, and really throws them forward. Also, if you've got deep-set eyes or eyes that are close together, it will really extend the eye shape so it's really helping to bring out your eyes in a very natural, perfected way.
OK, so again we're going to start on the inside of the eye - so if you just look to the outside for me - and I'm going to sweep the Glide & Define just along the top lash here. And close your eyes for me...sweep it along, and just take the flick up to the side...and then just look up very slightly for me...and then take it up on the outside and just drizzle it right into the bed of the lashes so it disappears, and we can soften that with the cotton bud. Just use the cotton bud just to take it in so the line disappears, so you get that really exaggerated pull on the outside.
OK to finish off we're going to use the Max Factor Masterpiece Mascara in black-brown to really compliment the brown of Glide & Define. I'm going to apply it on your top lashes first, so if you look down for me - I'm just going to lift the lashes from the root - it's a really complimentary brown shade. And really lift the lashes up in the middle so you get a fan-like shape. Just one coat is enough...perfect.
And just to finish it off because the brown is very soft, I'm just going to take the tip of the wand across the lower lashes like that, just to give it a very feminine finish. And I think that's a perfect balance. Perfect for a date because they're quite seductive and flirty and I just love the way it pulls out the eyes.
